Bahia de La Concha
Named for the famous San Sebastian bay, Bahia de la Concha anchovies are fished strictly from the Cantabrian Sea in Northern Spain. Bahia only selects the largest sized anchovies and they pay a premium for the fish that were caught last on the boat. All product is hand fileted and packed by expert artisans.
Bahia de la Concha is renowned worldwide for the quality of their semi-preserved white anchovies. Also known as "Boquerones", meaty anchovies are preserved in white wine vinegar, sunflower oil, garlic and parsley. Fished strictly in the cool waters of the Cantabrian Sea, the care taken in the curing of these fish is easily recognizable. The natural colors of the fish flesh is unlike others on the market that are bleached white by vinegar. Species: Engraulis encrasicolus
